HEY PAY ATTENTION TO ME! I have been prone to occasional hyperbole since the mid 90s but I can assure you this is not the case when it comes to my endorsement for Davey and Jonesie’s locker. I am comfortable saying it’s my favourite all time show that I’ve had the pleasure to work on. Also highly notable, the stellar collaborative effort from my whole team Jonathan, Erik @erikculpesq , Nikki @snikki_doodle and @jeff.luciani These guys worked extra hours to put extra love towards this super clever and hilarious show. Here in Canada, Foley artists are not unionized (TBD) but if we were it might be within the Directors Guild of Canada. We are with sfx editorial, as you know, two halves of the same circle. The DGC awards took place last night in Toronto and I was so humbled and delighted to be invited by my friend Kevin Banks to be a part of this community celebration. I love our community. It's the reason we all work so hard, it's for each other , it's for relationships. These are my tribe. We had big love and hugs together last night and I'm all full of gratitude. Fraggle Rock won in sound editorial for a family/comedy! This is a dream come true show for me to have performed Foley on. Growing up in the 1980s, the original FR was my church. The Muppets and Jim Henson were everything to us. What an achievement to be included in the reprise. Thanks for the recognition and mostly to my friends - I love you- it's an honor to work with you. Congratulations all of you for your nominations and wins. You are the best of the best.
